Your Teenagers

Teens and pre-teens today have their unique struggles in the modern world. Parents may be puzzled or concerned by some of the behaviors they observe. Seeking counselling is a good support for our young people so they have a safe place to express themselves.

We will explore worksheets on different topics depending on the issue e.g. anxiety, depression or bullying.  I will demonstrate and utilise techniques such as breathing and grounding exercises, We will unpack emotions and feelings such as anger,.  Anger will be explained in depth, Anger is a common emotion most young people experience.  Underneath anger there are many emotions and feelings, such as shame, guilt, sadness, grief, disappointment, embarrassment, confusion and much more.  Sometimes our kids need to develop better skills around creating good boundaries.

 

I like to get to the core of the issue and to help young people recognise what has been 'bugging them', or stopping them from getting a good night's sleep.  Our young folk are our precious commodity and we want them to thrive.  Please feel free to ask me questions.  I offer a 20-minute optional and complimentary phone call prior to a counselling appointment.
